Juveniles arrested for burglary


On Sunday, 12/09/18, around midnight, the Normal Police Department informed the Bloomington Police that they had a local cell phone store recently burglarized.

BPD officers began checking local businesses and noticed the Sprint store (101 North Veterans Parkway, suite 201) had been burglarized and items were taken from the store. Bloomington officers were able to track the stolen items and contacted numerous local agencies to assist.

Local deputies, troopers, and officers ultimately located two juvenile suspects and arrested them for the burglary. The juveniles were in possession of stolen property as well as in possession of a stolen vehicle.

The vehicle was reported stolen by the Hazel Crest Police Department. The juvenile arrests were also linked to cell phone store burglaries in Normal, Illinois and Urbana, Illinois.
