Police release more names

BLOOMINGTON – State Police have released more names of those involved in the school bus and semi wreck along Interstate 74 this week.

The driver of the blue 2010 Kenworth truck tractor semi-trailer was Ryan Hute, 34, of Delmar, Iowa. Hute died from injuries sustained in the wreck. The school bus was driven by Mark Kuhn, 64, of Heyworth. Bus passengers included Charles Crabtree, 72, of Normal and Steven Price, 47, of Bloomington along with eight female passengers. Crabtree also died as a result of the incident.

Traffic crash reconstruction officers investigated the crash along with commercial motor vehicle officers. Members of the State Police Zone 5 Investigations team have been at area hospitals to gather information. According to police, three of the adults were transported via helicopter to hospitals while all of the female passengers were taken via ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.
