Coralee K. “Corky” Utegg, 70, Pontiac, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at 5:30 a.m. at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.
Her service will be held Friday, December 7, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home in Pontiac with Andy Diestelkamp officiating. Burial will follow at Patty Cemetery in Pontiac.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 6, 2018, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac, is in charge of arrangements.
Corky was born June 6, 1948, in Akron, OH to Clarence and Alice (Goatcher) Bailey. She married Carl L. Utegg on May 22, 1970 in Cullom. He survives in Pontiac.
Also surviving are her children, Gregory (Chris) Utegg of Grand Ridge, IL, Russell Utegg of Bloomington, IL, Coralee (Martin) Wenzel of Warren, PA, Janet (Paul) Bevevino of Warren, PA, Leroy Utegg of Warren, PA, Fredrick Utegg of Warren, PA, and Melia Schultz of Erie, PA; sister, Patricia (Fred) Shelton of Pontiac, IL; nine grandchildren, Alyson Utegg, Lucas Rex, Melissa Utegg, Derek Smock, Megan Utegg, Allison Miller, Cayla Hoffman, Brandon Salerno, and Sierra Utegg; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Corky graduated from Kempton Cabery High School in 1966. Corky was a beautician and in January of 1974, she opened Country Styles Beauty Shop in Pontiac, which she owned and operated for over 40 years.
Corky was a member of Church of Christ in Pontiac. She was a board member for Owego Grade School. She assisted with the Central States Threshermen’s Reunion. She was a member the Livingston County Home Extension and a volunteer for PROUD, ASTA Care Center of Pontiac, and St. James Hospital Gift Shop. She was a Leader of the Owego Get ‘Em 4H and served as an election judge in Owego Township for over 30 years.

Thelma E. Kennedy, 90 of Cropsey, died at 6:25pm, Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Heritage Manor in
Gibson City, IL.
Per Thelma’s request, cremation rites have been accorded and a private family inurnment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Advocate Bromenn Hospice or to the charity of the donor’s choice. Mrs. Kennedy was born January 31, 1928 in Pontiac, IL, a daughter of Orville and Bessie Murray Hendershott. She married Earl Eugene Kennedy in May 1947 in Pontiac. He preceded her in death on December 31, 1974.
She is survived by her children, Richard (Debra) Kennedy of Peoria, AZ, Ricki (Cynthia) Kennedy of Powers, MI, Darla (Kenneth) Kaisner of Cropsey, and Ronald (Jean) Kennedy of Hixton, WI; two sisters, Jean Marie Thompson of Vidalia, LA and Edna Bartlow of Vincennes, IN; 9 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, 7 sisters, and 2 great-grandchildren.
Thelma worked for the Pontiac Shoe Factory and later the Louis Ellis Factory, both in Pontiac, before being transferred to Wisconsin to continue work for the Louis Ellis Factory.
