Bloomington shooting probed


On Saturday night, the Bloomington Police Department responded to the 800 block of Douglas to investigate a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with a group of four juveniles. One of the juveniles was struck in the leg, causing a non-life threatening injury. He was later transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Victims reported that a black male subject approached them and produced a gun. The suspect reportedly began shooting without provocation before fleeing the area. Officers located evidence of multiple shots being fired, consistent with victim statements.
