Area holiday season begins

GIBSON CITY - You could say the holiday season is officially underway here in Central Illinois even though it isn't even Thanksgiving yet.

The annual Gibson City lighted holiday parade took place Saturday night with numerous entries traveling down Sangamon Avenue. Also, the Festival of Trees annual fundraiser was held in Bloomington-Normal over the weekend to benefit the Baby Fold organization.
