More released on lake fatality

HUDSON – McLean County Coroner Kathy Davis has released the details surrounding a vehicle discovered in Evergreen Lake’s west boat launch late last week.

Deena Rogers, 71, of Washington, Illinois was pronounced dead following the incident. Autopsy results indicate Rogers died from drowning due to an automobile driving into a lake. Davis reports toxicology results are pending and Rogers was the sole occupant of the car.

The incident remains under investigation by the McLean County Coroner’s Office and Sheriff’s Department. Responding agencies last week included: McLean County Sheriff’s Police, Hudson Dive Team, Hudson Fire Department, Hudson Ambulance, Illinois State Police, Danvers Police and Carlock Fire Department.
