2 arrested for distributing prescriptions


On Wednesday, July 25, 2018, members of BPD’s Vice Unit and Street Crimes Unit concluded a drug investigation into the sale of illegal narcotics.

As a result of this investigation, Darren F. Gordon, age 25, of Bloomington was arrested for multiple counts of Manufacture/Delivery other amount Schedule IV, Manufacture/Delivery other amount Narcotic Schedule III, Manufacture/Delivery near School/Housing/Park Schedule I & II, Amount of Narcotic near a School/Housing/Park, Possess an amount 1-15 grams of Controlled Substance expect (A)/(D), and Manufacture/Delivery Cannabis 10-30 grams.

Semaj T. Collins, age 28, of Bloomington was arrested for Possession of a Weapon by a Felon Second Offense.

Members of BPD's Special Weapons and Tactics Team, Vice Unit, Street Crimes Unit, and Third Shift patrol officers served a search warrant in the 800 block of West Washington Street. The following items were seized as evidence: An illegal handgun, 26 Alprazolam, 10 Xanax, and evidence of drug distribution.

Two juveniles were taken into protective custody and released to the Department of Children and Family Services.

Gordon and Collins were transported to the McLean County Jail.
