Memorial Day events in Central Illinois

Several events are planned for Memorial Day here in Central Illinois. Here are just some of the services planned for Monday:

FAIRBURY: Graceland Cemetery 10:30 a.m.

STRAWN: Strawn Cemetery 7:30 a.m.

SAUNEMIN: Sunny Slope Cemetery 9:30 a.m.

CHATSWORTH: Germanville Cemetery 8:30 a.m.; Catholic Cemetery 9:00 a.m.; Charlotte Cemetery 9:45 a.m.

PONTIAC: Southside Cemetery. Parade begins at 9:00 a.m. from Central School.

BLOOMINGTON: McLean County Memorial Day Parade steps off at 9:00 a.m. proceeding along Front Street through downtown Bloomington then to Miller Park. A joint ceremony at the park bandstand starts around 10:00.

SAYBROOK: Riverside Cemetery 10:30 a.m.

MINONK: Fieldcrest High School gymnasium at 10:00 a.m.

ATLANTA: Atlanta Public Library lawn 10:00 a.m.

DANVERS: Danvers Cemetery 11:30 a.m.
