Drug take-back day planned

National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is this Saturday, April 28 with numerous police departments and law enforcement agencies participating.

Bloomington Police will provide a drug drop box in the front lobby from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Unused or expired prescription medication can be a public safety issue, according to authorities, leading to accidental poisoning, misuse and overdose. Proper disposal can save lives and the environment.

The take-back program is anonymous and free.
