Local Primary Election results

In the race for Livingston County Sheriff, the unofficial results as of 10:30 p.m. Tuesday have incumbent Tony Childress defeating challenger Jack Wiser 3,075 to 1,857. Childress had 62.3 percent of the vote to Wiser’s 37.6 percent.

The Republican nomination for Ford County Treasurer went to Krisha Shoemaker of Paxton. She defeated Kasi Schwarz from Roberts. No Democrat has filed to run so it appears Shoemaker will run uncontested in November.

In District 1 of the McLean County Board, Gerald Thompson defeated Jeremiah Houston for the Republican nomination.

In District 1 of the Livingston County Board, the four winners in the Republican race were Kathy Arbogast, James Carley, William Mays and James Blackard. They all defeated incumbent Marty Fannin.

In District 3 of the Livingston County Board, the four winners in the Republican race were John Vitzthum, Linda Ambrose, Mark Runyon and John Yoder. They defeated newcomer Mike Kirkton.

The Indian Grove Township proposition passed 515-277.

State Representative Dan Brady of Bloomington won the Republican nomination in the 105th district over David Blumenshine.
