FORREST – The 38th annual Prairie Central FFA Farm and Home Show had something for everyone on Saturday.

Several home and farm-related businesses exhibited products and services while attendees enjoyed a pork lunch to benefit the local FFA chapter. Sealtite Insulation was among the exhibitors. They didn’t have any new products since the previous year, but reminded visitors of the insulation they offer such as spray foam and blown-in methods.

A new concept involves using spray foam to jack up concrete, which is also known as slabjacking.

“We can come into your existing patio, driveway or sidewalk and if it is settled, we can actually drill small penny-sized holes and pump your concrete back up,” Sealtite owner Jeremy Leman explained.

Sealtite has had a busy winter, since the staff attends the Gordyville and Peoria farm shows. According to Leman, the company works on several ag buildings and implement dealerships. For more information, visit www.sealtiteinsulation.com or call 815-692-3626.

Pheasant Ridge Landscaping /F&R Lawncare had an exhibit booth near Sealtite. Brett Fehr said his Fairbury-based F&R business merged with a landscaping service over the winter and he is excited for what the two businesses can now offer together. Pheasant Ridge was located at Lexington and did quite a bit of work around Bloomington-Normal.

“We are really happy to be able to expand our maintenance division down toward Lexington and Bloomington and bring some of the higher-end landscaping capabilities this way to the Prairie Central area,” Fehr said.

Pheasant Ridge showed off a bit of everything at the show – from landscaping pillars to posters depicting the different designs they offer. Fehr acknowledges it has been a surprisingly busy winter for snow removal.

“If we’re not plowing, we’re salting at least once a week.”

Pheasant Ridge Landscaping is the parent company with F&R serving as the maintenance division. The company can be reached at 815-848-4833, on Facebook pat Pheasant Ridge Landscaping or on the web at www.pheasantridgelandscaping.com.

Those visiting Saturday’s show at the Prairie Central Upper Elementary also had the chance to purchase raffle tickets to win a 1946 Farmall H tractor which was restored by high school ag students. The tractor winner will be announced during the Prairie Central FFA Hog Roast and Auction planned for March 22 at the high school in Fairbury.
