Winter weather advisory issued
A winter weather advisory has been issued for Central Illinois.
The National Weather Service says the advisory will be in effect from 3 p.m. Monday through midnight. Motorists can plan on slippery road conditions as total snow accumulations of 2-5 inches are expected. Reduced visibilities could also result from this weather system.
“A winter weather advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities and use caution while driving,” the NWS said.
